Concrete repair & slab leveling in Chattanooga, TN

Settled slabs, cracks, trip hazards, and worn surfaces — fixed where a fix makes sense, and replaced when it doesn't. We'll give you the straight answer.

Not every concrete problem needs a tear-out. A slab that has settled, cracked, or lost its surface can often be brought back for a fraction of replacement cost. But some slabs are past saving, and pouring good money into them is a waste. JMF Concrete Co. looks at what you have and tells you which situation you're in.

What we fix

  • Settled and sunken slabs — driveways, walks, patios, garage floors, pool decks
  • Trip hazards and lifted joints
  • Cracks — both non-structural and structural
  • Spalling, flaking, and pitted surfaces
  • Broken edges, corners, and failed control joints
  • Deteriorated steps and stoops

How we repair it

  • Slab lifting. Polyurethane foam or mudjacking to raise a settled slab back to grade and fill the void underneath — no tear-out, same-day use.
  • Crack repair. Rout and seal for non-structural cracks; epoxy injection for structural cracks that need to be re-bonded.
  • Partial-depth patching. Saw the edges square, remove the failed concrete, and patch with polymer-modified mortar that bonds and lasts.
  • Grinding. Shave down a lifted joint or trip hazard to a safe transition.
  • Resurfacing. A bonded overlay when the slab is structurally sound but the surface is shot.
  • Replacement. When the base has failed or the slab is broken up, a new pour is the right call — see driveways & flatwork.

How we decide repair vs. replace

If the subgrade is still doing its job and the damage is localized, we repair. If the base is gone, the slab is in many pieces, or more than about a third of it is failing, replacement is the better long-term value — and we'll say so.

Common questions

Repair or replace?
Sound slab, local damage → repair. Failed base or widespread breakup → replace.
How long does slab lifting last?
Years, when the void is filled and the cause is addressed. Foam won't wash out.
Will it match?
Lifting is invisible. Patches and overlays show against aged concrete.
Why is my driveway flaking?
Spalling — water in a weak surface, freeze-thaw, and salt. We patch or resurface, then seal.
